We are seeking candidates for the following posts from September 2012 on
Assistants for class and boarding school
for the Middle School, Years 8-11
Maths and natural sciences as well as English and French (possibly Spanish);
Preferably degree-level teachers, although young adults with diploma in the above mentioned subjects. Fluency in German is vital to participate in daily boarding school life.
Our assistents generally come to us to bridge the gap between their 1st degree and the beginning of their teacher training for a minimum of six months in order to gain initial experience in teaching practice. They deputise for and assist teachers in the classroom and are also involved in complementary academic and extra-curricular activities and private tutoring. In addition to this there is time for job shadowing according to their preferences and for taking over classes independently. Furthermore the assistants take over tasks in the boarding school: they support the mentors in the dormitories and participate in the design of athletic, artistic and leisure activities.
We offer room and board on-site and a commensurate salary.
