Arrival at Hohenfels

The children’s arrival at Hohenfels is always on a Saturday. This weekend (after the parents’ departure) is meant as a time to get to know one another, the tutors and teachers and Hohenfels with its buildings and surroundings. This is mainly achieved by playing games in different group constellations in which they are able to develop a team spirit. We emphasize that the children get to know one another especially within a Mentorat, the most important peer group in the boarding school. Also, the children get to know all the rules in the Summer Camp that regulate their living together. From experience, we say that after this integration weekend most of first shyness is cast off, tender friendships are bound and the Summer Camp children are now able to have a go at the variety of the next two weeks.
