The Summer School Salem is located at Salem Castle, a Cistercian monastery to the north of Lake Constance. It is designed for children aged 12 and 13, who want to enjoy a diverse programme and gain an impression of what life at our boarding school is like.
In the morning, English, German as a foreign language, Maths and the Sciences are taught in small groups. Afterwards we offer a variety of art and craft acitivities such as pottery, sculpture and photography.
Afternoons are dedicated to sports: as well as many ball games we also offer archery and a variety of outdoor activities.
During weekends students will enjoy excursions in the beautiful surroundings and will take part in competitions between the boarding houses.
In addition, students can join some of the Salem service programmes, such as the fire brigade, medical or technical services and through this, get an idea of how our virtues of courage, truth and responsibility come to life.
