The December Edition of the Salem Magazine contains a guest editorial from the prospecitve principal of Schule Schloss Salem, Bernd Westermeyer about the nature of good schools, a report about the staff meeting 2011, which had the motto "health" and looks back on the various activites of the students.

On 4th October 2011 the supervising board of Schule Schloss Salem has appointed Bernd Westermyer, rector Portensis, to become the school´s new principal.

This autumn Salem will show a very ambitious theatre project and revive an old tradition.

Felix Grasser, who passed his final school-leaving examination (Abitur) in 2008 at Schule Schloss Salem and is studying law at the moment at Mannheim University to become an 'in-house counsel' (Unternehmensjurist), was elected President of ELSA-Germany at the end of July.
