Information on School and Boarding fees and other costs

Salem is a non-profit organisation. Apart from a partial subsidy from the German state for purely instructional purposes, the School has to bear all running costs from the fees paid by parents.

The School Management of Schule Schule Schloss Salem gGmbH determines the yearly School and Boarding fee (fee). It corresponds to the actual cost of each complete school year. It must be understood that the academic year ends on August 31 regardless of the dates of the final exams and summer vacation. The fee may be paid by the year (3% discount), monthly or each trimester. If several siblings attend Salem at the same time, parents receive a 10% discount for all siblings. An admission fee is payable upon signing the School and Boarding contract. The same applies to a deposit that is reimbursed at termination of the contract.The fee covers the services listed in No. V. of the General Terms and Conditions of contract (GTC). The additonal costs listed in No. VII. of the GTC will be invoiced separately.

Additional costs may arise according to the current fees of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) for registration, examinations and other organizational services of the International Baccalaureate (IB).
