The Upper School Salem International College

The Salem pupils spend the last two years of their school career in Salem International College. This is where they take the last steps towards qualifying to study at a university, for which they will receive a certificate when they pass the Abitur or the IB diploma.  The different examination systems do not affect the community’s daily life in any way.

The Upper School of Schule Schloss Salem is spread over two locations: Students of Year 12 and IB Year 1 live in Spetzgart Castle near Überlingen, while final year students of Abitur and International Baccalaureate live on the newly built extensive campus in the neighbouring district of Härlen.

An extensive library, playing fields, the school's own harbour on Lake Constance and many other amenities give the pupils the best possible opportunities to develop fully in various directions.

There are separate wings for girls and boys, and rooms are shared by two students. The ”house tutors” who look after them also have their apartments there. There is also a small kitchen and a comfortable common room in each wing.
