A strong network - even after leaving school

The Altsalemer Vereinigung (ASV) is the Alumni Association of Salem of all years. It keeps the alumni in touch with each other and with the school. It also supports and promotes institutions which maintain the Salem ethos, and helps to spread and represent the Salem idea. The association was founded in 1950 and now maintains a worldwide network, in which at present 3,900 alumni are organised. 70 per cent of the members are under 50. The association encourages and influences the development of the Schule Schloss Salem in many fields, with staff, ideas and money. The association supported the building of the new college with a campaign that raised millions. The scholarship funds of the Salem schools were endowed with over 15 million euros in recent years with the help of the Old Pupils. The association also assists Salem pupils who want to make contacts abroad or in the world of work. Individual executives of the association are also involved in promotiing international cooperation on all levels in the framework of international organisations.
